Baku: Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov engaged in a telephone conversation with Iraq’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, to discuss the escalating situation in the Middle East and explore avenues for bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the two nations. According to Trend News Agency, the conversation was held today and centered on the current regional tensions and their implications.
Minister Fuad Hussein provided a detailed briefing on the recent developments in the Middle East, expressing serious concern over the potential expansion of the conflict. The discussion also covered Iraq’s preparations for the upcoming 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), which the country will host in the coming days. The two ministers explored possible areas of cooperation in this context.
Additionally, the phone call featured an exchange of views on other topics of mutual interest, further strengtheni
ng the diplomatic ties between Azerbaijan and Iraq.
