Tashkent: An Azerbaijani delegation led by Aliyar Mammadyarov, First Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, met with a Swiss delegation headed by Martin Schlegel, Governor of the Swiss National Bank, during their visit to Uzbekistan. The meeting aimed at exploring potential collaboration between the two central banks and discussing economic developments.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Swiss delegation included Christoph Koenig, State Secretary at the State Secretariat for International Finance (SIF), and Pietro Lazzeri, State Secretary at the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO). The discussions focused on cooperation between Azerbaijan and Switzerland's central banks, as well as global and regional economic trends.
The meeting also reviewed Azerbaijan's macroeconomic outlook, recent trends in the financial sector, and explored ways to expand bilateral cooperation. Additionally, the officials addressed various issues of mutual interest, indicating a potential for stronger economic ties between the two nations.
