Azerbaijani and Turkish Air Forces Conclude 15th Staff Talks in Baku


Baku: The 15th Staff Talks between the Azerbaijani and Turkish Air Forces were held as part of the bilateral military cooperation program signed between Azerbaijan and Turkey. Representatives from both nations gathered to discuss various aspects of military collaboration, APA reports citing Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the event commenced with visits to the Alley of Martyrs and the Turkish Martyrs’ Cemetery, where respects were paid to the martyrs. Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Defense and Commander of the Air Force, Lieutenant General Namig Islamzade, welcomed a Turkish delegation led by Lieutenant General Hseyin Duman, Chief of the Department of Logistics of the Turkish Air Force Headquarters.



The discussions during the meeting emphasized the critical importance of these Staff Talks, focusing on military cooperation between the Air Forces of Azerbaijan and Turkey. The talks highlighted mutual experience exchange and involved dialogue on various topics of mutual interest.



The Turkish delegation also toured the Aviation Repair Plant as part of their visit plan, receiving insights into the plant’s history, development, and operations. They observed the repair, modernization, and other ongoing processes at the facility.



Furthermore, a meeting at the Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev was held, where Major General Arif Hasanov, Deputy Rector of the National Defense University for Science, expressed his pleasure in hosting the Turkish guests. The delegation was introduced to the institute’s facilities and received comprehensive information about the educational institution’s role and future plans in military education collaboration between the two countries.



To conclude their visit, Lieutenant General Hseyin Duman signed the Military Institute’s Honorary Guests Book. The Turkish delegation also visited a military unit of the Air Force, where they were briefed on the unit’s primary activities.
