The hague: Gaya Mammadov, head of the delegation of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis (Parliament) to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, met with the head of the U.S. delegation, Congressman Joe Wilson, on the sidelines of the 33rd Annual Session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in The Hague, the Netherlands.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Gaya Mammadov congratulated Congressman Wilson on his election as Chairman of the OSCE PA General Committee on Political Affairs and Security and expressed his wishes for success in Wilson's future endeavors. The meeting highlighted the importance of personal relations between the leaders of Azerbaijan and the United States, which are based on mutual trust and respect, as well as the high-level dialogue between the two nations.
The discussions also acknowledged the U.S. contribution to establishing peace and cooperation in the region and emphasized the strengthening of bilateral relations. Both sides exchanged views on the annual session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, which is scheduled to be held in the United States in 2027, along with other issues of mutual interest.
