According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the leaders emphasized the significance of documents signed during President Ilham Aliyev’s recent visit to the U.S. A particular focus was on the Joint Declaration signed by the President of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Armenia, witnessed by the U.S. President. These agreements are considered crucial for achieving lasting peace and stability in the region, and they laid the groundwork for a final peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
President Ilham Aliyev acknowledged the special role of U.S. President Donald Trump in securing these outcomes and highlighted the importance of agreements concerning regional transport links. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated President Aliyev and the Azerbaijani people on these achievements, recognizing their positive implications for regional development.
The discussion also addressed mutual investments, including ongoing Uzbek projects in Karabakh and the Production Sharing Agreement involving SOCAR, the ‘Uzbekneftegaz’ Consortium, and the Government of Uzbekistan.
