Azerbaijani and Venezuelan Foreign Ministers Discuss Bilateral Relations Over Phone

Baku: Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a telephone conversation with Yv¡n Gil Pinto, Minister of the People's Power for Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. The discussion focused on recent developments in Venezuela and the enhancement of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Venezuela.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov conveyed his condolences to the families and loved ones of those affected by recent events in Venezuela. He expressed hope for peace, stability, and the preservation of unity within the country.

The Venezuelan minister shared an update on the situation in Venezuela, noting that presidential duties are being fulfilled and state institutions remain functional. He mentioned that dialogue with the United States is ongoing, with American companies resuming operations, especially in the energy sector. Additionally, negotiations are in progress to reactivate embassy functions.

Both ministers underscored the importance of advancing bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation within international organizations, notably the UN and the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), based on mutual support and solidarity.
