Azerbaijani Army Aligned with NATO Standards, Says President

Baku: “The Azerbaijani Army has been brought into conformity with NATO standards,” President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev stated during a meeting with a NATO delegation. This significant announcement was made as part of discussions held on November 6, highlighting the progress made by the Azerbaijani military in aligning with international defense frameworks.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev emphasized the importance of Azerbaijan’s collaboration with the Turkish army in achieving this alignment. He pointed out that the expanding relations between Azerbaijan and NATO have played a crucial role in this development.

President Aliyev further noted that since Azerbaijan gained its independence at the start of the last century, the country has been focused on achieving its primary objective – reclaiming its territories from occupation. He assured that the modernization of the Azerbaijani army will continue as a priority for the nation.
