Baku:Azerbaijani authorities have announced a breakthrough in a 25-year-old murder case in Baku, leading to the detention of a suspect. The Prosecutor General's Office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs issued a joint statement about the resolution of the crime involving the intentional murder of Hagigat Mammadova in 2001.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, law enforcement agencies have reopened the case of Hagigat Mammadova, who was murdered in the Nasimi district of Baku. The Nasimi District Prosecutor's Office and the district police department conducted extensive investigative actions and operational-search measures, which included interrogations and modern forensic examinations, to establish the details of the incident.
