Azerbaijani boxer Elmir Nabiyev, representing Ukraine, started the European Championship in Yerevan, Armenia with a victory, ApaSport reports.

Our compatriot, who competes in the weight category of 54 kg, faced Armenian Janik Sahakyan in the first match.

Nabiyev won the tense battle. He won the stage in Yerevan, defeating his Armenian opponent with a score of 3: 2 (29:28, 28:29, 29:28, 28:29, 29:28).
