Moscow: Azerbaijani cellist Rusalina Huseynzade, a student at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, has achieved laureate status at the Sergei Taneyev International Competition of Chamber Ensembles. She competed as part of the Noa trio in the ‘Piano Trio’ category.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Noa trio also comprises Russian violinist and international competition laureate Regina Pakhmutova and Japanese pianist Taisei Shigeno. In the competition’s final round, the ensemble performed a piano trio by Azerbaijani composer and People’s Artist of Azerbaijan Musa Mirzoyev, alongside a trio by Sergei Taneyev.
