Novosibirsk: An Azerbaijani citizen, Araz Abbasali Taghiyev, has died following a road accident in Russia, APA’s local bureau reports. Taghiyev, who was born in 1967, was struck by a vehicle and sustained severe injuries.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Taghiyev remained in a coma in a hospital for several days but succumbed to his injuries yesterday. He had traveled to the Novosibirsk region in Russia four months ago for work.

The body of the deceased will be returned to Azerbaijan today, where he will be laid to rest in the cemetery of Lek village in the Ujar district, his birthplace.
