Genoa: Toghrul Aliyev, a PhD researcher in international security and political studies and a diaspora activist residing in Genoa, Italy, has been selected to participate in the Young European Ambassadors initiative for the 2026-2027 period.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Young European Ambassadors initiative was launched in 2016 as part of the EU-funded Regional Communication Programme for the Eastern Neighborhood. The initiative serves as a non-political, volunteer-based communication network that unites young individuals from various countries, including Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, Armenia, EU member states, and the United Kingdom.
Toghrul Aliyev has an academic background that includes studies in Trkiye and Italy. His professional journey includes completing internships in several European countries under the ‘Erasmus+’ program. He is actively involved in diaspora projects and is a member of the Azerbaijan Diaspora Youth organization. Aliyev also participated in the 6th Summer Camp of Diaspora Youth held in Khankendi.
