Warsaw: Elmikhan Allahyar oghlu Karimov, an Azerbaijani citizen who was internationally wanted, has been detained in Poland, the Press Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told APA. In connection with a fraud criminal case under preliminary investigation by the Ganja City Main Police Department, a decision was made to involve E. Karimov as an accused person, and he was placed on an international wanted list.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the National Central Bureau of Interpol in the Republic of Azerbaijan is taking measures to have Karimov brought back to Azerbaijan. Karimov’s arrest marks a significant development in the ongoing fraud investigation, which has been under the scrutiny of Azerbaijani authorities.
