Ankara: An Azerbaijani citizen, Ozan Chingiz oglu Budaqov, who was wanted internationally, has been detained in Trkiye. The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed the development to APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Budaqov was sought by the Gazakh District Police Department in connection with a criminal case involving theft. His detention was facilitated through Interpol channels, marking a significant step in the ongoing effort to address international criminal activities.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan has announced that, via Interpol's National Central Bureau, they are collaborating with relevant authorities to ensure Budaqov's extradition. This initiative underscores the commitment of Azerbaijani authorities to uphold justice and legal proceedings in cooperation with international law enforcement agencies.
