2 Azerbaijani citizens were not injured in the shipwreck near the Tunisian city of Gabesh, Azerbaijani MFA told APA.

“On April 16, a ship sailing under the flag of Equatorial Guinea in the direction of Malta crashed near the Tunisian city of Gabesh due to bad weather. There were two Azerbaijani citizens among the staff of the ship. The staff of the ship was rescued by a Tunisian border ship and were placed in the hospital. As a result of the crash, the staff of the ship, as well as Azerbaijani citizens were not injured. Currently, relevant measures are being taken for the evacuation of our citizens,” the statement reads.
