Hanoi: The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, is currently on an official visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The Ministry of Defense informed APA about the visit, highlighting its significance.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Colonel General Hasanov participated in a ceremony celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of Vietnam on September 2. The event took place at Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi and was attended by state officials, foreign delegations, and numerous citizens. It commemorated Vietnam’s historical struggle for freedom and underscored the nation’s achievements in unity and socialist development.

The ceremony featured official speeches, literary and artistic presentations, a military orchestra performance, and a variety of cultural programs. A military parade also marked the important occasion. During his visit, the Azerbaijani Defense Minister is expected to meet with Vietnam’s head of state and military leadership.
