Hanoi: Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, visited the headquarters of the Vietnam People’s Navy, as informed by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense to Trend.

According to Trend News Agency, the visit commenced with a tribute at the Monument to National Heroes and Martyrs and the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in Hanoi, where wreaths were laid. Following this, Colonel General Hasanov held a meeting with Vice Admiral Tran Thanh Nghiem, the Commander of the Vietnam People’s Navy.

During the meeting, discussions were held on the potential for enhanced cooperation between the naval forces of Azerbaijan and Vietnam, alongside other mutual interests. The visit concluded with Colonel General Hasanov touring a Navy brigade and Ha Long Bay, where he familiarized himself with the facilities.
