M¡laga:Employees from Azerbaijan's State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control participated in a workshop on competition law organized by the Regional Centre for Competition (RCC) at the University of M¡laga, Spain.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the workshop, titled 'Introduction to Competition Law,' was a collaborative effort co-established by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the Hungarian Competition Authority (GVH). It aimed to enhance professional skills in competition law and facilitate the exchange of practical experiences and approaches used by competition authorities around the world.

The program included theoretical presentations, practical exercises, and discussions, featuring input from representatives of the competition authorities of Italy, Hungary, Sweden, Belgium, and Finland, along with an expert from Germany's Federal Cartel Office. Key topics covered included abuse of dominance, merger control, and important competition-protection tools, as well as market studies conducted in Spain.

Participants also deliberated on the role of authorities in promoting competition policy and were awarded certificates upon completing the workshop.
