Azerbaijani Delegation Engages in Interreligious Conference in Brussels


Brussels: An interreligious international conference titled “The Islamic World 2025 in the Kingdom of Belgium and Europe” has commenced in Brussels, Belgium. The Azerbaijani delegation participating in the conference is being led by the Sheikh of All Caucasus, Allahshukur Pashazade.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, within the framework of the conference, a meeting was held on March 6 between the Azerbaijani delegation and Wouter Beke, a member of the European Parliament and chair of the Delegation for relations with the countries of Southeast Asia and the ASEAN. The meeting also included the Minister of Health of Belgium. Discussions highlighted the importance of intercultural and interreligious dialogue and cohabitation based on tolerance.



Moreover, Sheikh ul-Islam extended an invitation to all European Parliament members, through MP Wouter Beke, to visit Azerbaijan’s liberated territories. He urged them to witness firsthand the vandalism that had been perpetrated by Armenians in these areas over the past three decades.



The meeting also included speeches by Ravan Hasanov, Executive Director of the Baku International Multiculturalism Center, as well as Members of the Milli Majlis, Javanshir Pashazade and Gudrat Hasanguliyev.
