Azerbaijani Delegation Engages in Strategic Meetings in Vietnam’s Key Cities

Baku: An Azerbaijani delegation led by Tahir Budagov, Chairman of the State Statistics Committee, has embarked on a significant visit to Vietnam, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations. The delegation's agenda included meetings in Ho Chi Minh City, a pivotal economic hub, and Vung Tau, a central player in the oil industry.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, discussions in Ho Chi Minh City involved meetings with Vo Van Minh, Chairman of the People's Council, and Nguyen Khac Hoang, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Statistics Office. The dialogue revolved around the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Vietnam, underscoring the importance of high-level visits and close contacts to enhance cooperation in fields such as statistics.

In Vung Tau, the delegation engaged with Vietsovpetro management and members of the Vietnam-Azerbaijan Friendship Association. These interactions highlighted the pivotal role Azerbaijani experts have played in developing Vietnam's oil and gas sector. The meeting also covered potential collaborations between Vung Tau and Baku, reinforcing the sister city relationship and aiming to fortify Azerbaijani-Vietnamese ties.

The delegation's visit included tours of the Independence Palace in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietsovpetro Museum, and Baku Street in Vung Tau, emphasizing the cultural and historical connections between the two nations.
