Baku: An Azerbaijani delegation led by Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Indira Hajiyeva participated in a series of events held within the framework of the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. The discussions focused on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals and the role of young people in this process.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Hajiyeva met with Felipe Paullier, head of the UN Youth Office and the UN Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs. The meeting discussed prospects for cooperation between the UN Youth Office and Azerbaijan, as well as opportunities for Azerbaijani youth to participate in the office's future internship programs.

During the visit, a photo exhibition titled "Volunteering in the CICA Member States" was inaugurated as part of Azerbaijan's chairmanship of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia, jointly organized by the CICA Secretariat and Kazakhstan. A side event on "Best Practices in Volunteering in the CICA Member States" was also held.
