Tashkent: The Azerbaijani delegation, currently visiting Uzbekistan, paid their respects to National Leader Heydar Aliyev by visiting his monument in Heydar Aliyev Square in Tashkent. They laid flowers at the site, honoring his memory.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the delegation also toured the Azerbaijan Cultural Center in Tashkent, which is named after Heydar Aliyev. They placed flowers in front of a bust of the National Leader and were briefed on the center’s activities, including cultural projects and exhibits that showcase Azerbaijan’s history and national heritage.
During the visit, presentations highlighted the works of the center’s creative collectives, such as the “Garabagh Victory” dance group, the “Kharibulbul” theater group, and the painting and Azerbaijani language courses. Minister of Culture Adil Karimli emphasized the role of Azerbaijani cultural centers in promoting the nation’s culture and strengthening ties with Uzbekistan. He noted that the Cultural Center in Tashkent plays a significant role in fostering Azerbaijani-Uzbek friendship and brotherhood.
