Tashkent: An international congress titled “Spiritual Heritage and Enlightenment in Central Asia” is currently being held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan’s capital. Leading the Azerbaijani delegation at the event is Minister of Culture Adil Karimli.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, during the Ministerial Conference, which is a key component of the congress, Uzbek Minister of Culture Ozodbek Nazarbekov delivered the opening remarks. He emphasized the significance of the congress for fostering relationships among friendly countries and expressed optimism regarding its potential to enhance cultural cooperation.

Minister Adil Karimli, speaking at the conference, extended his gratitude to his Uzbek counterpart for the invitation to participate in this esteemed international gathering. He highlighted that Azerbaijan’s President, Ilham Aliyev, places a strong emphasis on building ties with Central Asian nations. Karimli pointed out that relations with these countries have been progressing rapidly, particularly in the realm of cultural cooperation, which he described as a reliable bridge connecting nations and peoples.

Other notable speakers at the event included Kazakhstan’s Minister of Culture and Information, Aida Balayeva; Tajikistan’s Minister of Culture, Matlubakhon Sattoriyen; Turkmenistan’s Minister of Culture, Atageldi Shamyradov; and Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy, Mirbek Mambataliev. The ministers discussed the significance of cultural integration among the countries and explored avenues for further collaboration.
