Yerevan: An Azerbaijani delegation has traveled to Armenia to participate in a roundtable discussion under the 'Peace Bridge' initiative. This event, scheduled for 13-14 February 2026, aims to bring together civil society representatives from both Armenia and Azerbaijan.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, the roundtable will include core participants of the 'Peace Bridge' initiative and a broader group of attendees from both nations. The Azerbaijani delegation's journey to Armenia involved crossing the land border at a section that has been delimited and demarcated, marking a significant step in building trust between the two countries.
During the roundtable, discussions will center on the peace agenda set during the Washington Summit on August 8, 2025. There will be sessions focused on regional security, the benefits of peace, public perceptions of intersocietal relations, prospects for economic cooperation, and the role of civil society in fostering mutual understanding and confidence-building.
A similar bilateral roundtable was previously held in Yerevan on October 22 last year, with participants from both countries. Following that, a group of Armenian civil society representatives visited Azerbaijan's capital on November 21, 2025.
