Azerbaijani Finance Minister visited Greece

The 16th special meeting of the board of directors of the “Black Sea Trade and Development Bank” (BSTDB) was held today in the Greek city of Thessaloniki.

According to the Ministry of Finance, Azerbaijan is represented at the event by Minister Samir Sharifov.

The agenda of the event includes the issues of increasing the bank’s subscriber capital, the medium-term strategy for 2023-2026 and the approval of the 1st stage of the business plan for 2023-2024.

Recall that the BSTDB was established in 1999 by the member-states of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization, including Albania, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Bulgaria, Georgia, Moldova, Romania, the Russian Federation, Turkey, Greece and Ukraine.

Note that the BSTDB, headquartered in Thessaloniki, supports economic development and regional cooperation, participates in providing loans to public and private sector projects in member-countries, opening credit lines, providing investments and guarantees, as well as in trade financing
