Chicago:The Azerbaijani Flag was raised in downtown Chicago to commemorate the 35th anniversary of Azerbaijan's restoration of independence. This event took place on October 16, ahead of the official Day of Restoration of Independence on October 18.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the initiative was organized by the Azerbaijan Center of Midwest America (ACMA). It highlights the Azerbaijani community's dedication to maintaining its national and cultural identity and reinforces the ties between Azerbaijan and the United States.
