“During our discussions today, we discussed various aspects of our relationship,” said Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov at the press conference with Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio, APA reports.

Minister noted that in accordance with the information on finals of 2021, trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Italy has reached USD 10 bln level: “Speaking of the economic sphere, energy cooperation is the widest part of this format. For many years, Azerbaijan has been the number one supplier of oil and oil products to Italy. With the commissioning of the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline, Azerbaijani gas has reached the European space, first to Italy. With the implementation of the TAP project, Azerbaijan’s role in the energy sector has increased. I also informed my esteemed colleague about the opportunities for joint cooperation in the field of alternative energy sources in Azerbaijan”.
