Azerbaijani FM informed his Kyrgyz counterpart about newly emerged situation in region

“Today I have informed my Kyrgyz counterpart about new situation emerged in the region after Patriotic war, and appeals,” said Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov at the briefing held after meeting held with the Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbayev who is in an official visit in Azerbaijan, APA reports.

The head of the MFA noted that after 30 years of occupation ended, territorial integrity of Azerbaijan restored, the main task ahead is the implementation of the reconstruction works, return of hundreds of Azerbaijanis to these regions, and to create decent living conditions for them: “Cooperation issue in this field has been discussed. I shared our thoughts about the main danger ahead, and appeals. The main danger is about the issue of mine. These territories have been mined for many years. Over the past 7 months our 28 citizens died, more than 100 citizens injured. Armenia refused to provide mine maps. With the participation of international mediators, only mine maps over Agdam have been provided. There are 97 thousand mines in this region alone. This shows how serious the mine problem is. I also informed my counterpart about this problem.”
