Mingachevir: President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan highlighted the critical role Azerbaijani gas plays in ensuring energy security for many countries during the inauguration ceremony of the ‘8 November’ Power Plant in Mingachevir. He emphasized Azerbaijan’s position as a key player in Europe’s energy landscape.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev underscored that Azerbaijani gas is currently being exported to 12 countries through pipelines. He noted that this extensive network and the broad geographical reach of Azerbaijan’s gas supply elevate the country to a prominent position on the global stage. President Aliyev remarked that the European Union’s recognition of Azerbaijan as a reliable partner and pan-European gas supplier is a testament to its significant contribution to energy security across the continent.
