Baku: From February 3 to 5, a government mission of the Republic of Azerbaijan, led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Elnur Mammadov, conducted a visit to Mongolia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) told APA.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, during the visit, Deputy Minister Elnur Mammadov held meetings with Mrs. Batmunkh Battsetseg, Foreign Minister of Mongolia, Delgersukh Borchu, Minister of Roads and Transport, and Odbayar Erdenetsoq, President of Mongolia’s Foreign Policy Advisor. The discussions focused on mutual interests, including the exchange of high-level visits, investment, logistics opportunities, green energy, and humanitarian issues.
Within the framework of the visit, the second round of political consultations took place between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia. The consultations were led by Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov from Azerbaijan and State Secretary of the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Munkhtsetseg Lkhagvajav from Mongolia. Topics discussed included the expansion of bilateral and multilateral political relations, cooperation in international organizations, legal agreements, economic trade, energy, mining, transport, tourism, and other fields.
Meetings were organized for the members of the Azerbaijani mission, including representatives from the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Defense Industry, and AzerGold, with high-ranking officials from relevant Mongolian state institutions. Detailed presentations on investment opportunities were made, and discussions on cooperation prospects in various fields were conducted.
During the visit, the mission members toured several industrial zones.
