Azerbaijani Government to Fund Vocational Education for Students in Liberated Territories

Baku: The Azerbaijani government has announced plans to cover tuition fees for students residing in liberated territories who enroll in vocational education institutions. This initiative applies to public, municipal, and private vocational institutions during the 2025/2026, 2026/2027, and 2027/2028 academic years. It also includes students who are currently paying for their education in these institutions, as reflected in a proposed amendment to the Law on Education discussed at the Milli Majlis (Parliament) meeting.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, an additional adaptive amendment has been proposed to the Law on Vocational Education. If approved, the new law will be effective from September 15, 2025. The proposed legislation was subjected to a vote and successfully passed during its third reading.
