BAKU—Azerbaijan’s female gymnastics team delivered an impressive performance at the ‘San Marino Cup’ in Serravalle, securing a total of seven medals, including a standout gold in the junior category.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, senior gymnast Ilona Zeynalova showcased her prowess by winning three silver medals across the hoop, ball, and all-around events, while also adding bronze medals in the club and ribbon exercises to her collection. In the junior competition, Shams Aghahuseynova emerged as a notable talent, capturing the gold in the ribbon exercise and a silver in the all-around discipline, elevating Azerbaijan’s status in the international gymnastics arena.

The achievements at the San Marino Cup not only highlight the depth of talent within the Azerbaijani gymnastics squad but also underscore the country’s growing influence in the sport on a global scale.
