Coimbra: The FIG Trampoline World Cup, held on July 4-5 in Coimbra, Portugal, concluded with remarkable performances by Azerbaijani gymnasts. Azerbaijan's Maksud Mahsudov delivered a strong performance, scoring 61.440 points to finish seventh in the individual trampoline event. In the men's synchronized trampoline event, the duo of Maksud Mahsudov and Huseyn Abbasov clinched the bronze medal.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Mikhail Malkin claimed the gold medal with 32.300 points in the tumbling competition. Tofig Aliyev also made a significant impact by scoring 29.300 points, securing third place and a bronze medal. Simultaneously, Azerbaijani gymnasts excelled at the international Coimbra GymFest tournament. Maksud Mahsudov won the gold medal in the individual trampoline event, while Huseyn Abbasov took silver.
In the team tumbling competition, the Azerbaijani trio of Aleksey Karatashov, Bilal Gurbanov, and Huseyn Asadullayev claimed the gold medals. In the individual tumbling event, Bilal Gurbanov grabbed the gold medal, Aleksey Karatashov earned the bronze, Sanan Rzazade captured gold, while Asnad Niftiyeva and Khadija Mammadzada won silver medals.
