Astara: Azerbaijani humanitarian aid trucks, dispatched under the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev, have successfully crossed the Astara state border checkpoint en route to the Islamic Republic of Iran. This initiative is a part of Azerbaijan's effort to support its neighboring and friendly nation, Iran, amidst its current needs.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the humanitarian assistance was organized following a telephone conversation between President Ilham Aliyev and President Masoud Pezeshkian of Iran on March 8. The aid convoy consists of a total of 82 tons, which includes 76 tons of food products, 4 tons of pharmaceuticals, and 2 tons of medical equipment, all dispatched via five trucks.

In addition to the essential goods, the convoy includes holiday packages and assorted Novruz-related products, as a gesture of goodwill in light of the Novruz holiday. The convoy is accompanied by authorized representatives from the Cabinet of Ministers, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the State Reserves Agency of Azerbaijan, who are overseeing the aid delivery to ensure its safe arrival and distribution in Iran.
