Beijing:The teaching of the Azerbaijani language has resumed at Peking University, known for its prestigious status in higher education.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Agshin Aliyev, head of the Azerbaijani Language Department at Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), confirmed the resumption of these classes.
The Azerbaijani language classes are scheduled twice a week, with each session lasting for two academic hours, and are open to students in bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs.
Initially introduced during the 2017-2018 academic year, the classes have been reintroduced due to increasing interest in the language and the strengthening of China-Azerbaijan relations into a strategic partnership.
Aliyev has been invited again to teach the classes, emphasizing this initiative's significance in promoting Azerbaijani language education in China and fostering interest in Azerbaijan's language and culture among Chinese youth and researchers.
