Azerbaijani MFA Acknowledges International Holocaust Remembrance Day on Social Media


Baku: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan shared a post on social media on 27 January, marking International Holocaust Remembrance Day, APA reports. The post serves as a solemn reminder of the Holocaust’s atrocities and honors the memory of its victims.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Ministry stated, “On 27 January – International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we remember and mourn the victims of one of the most revolting atrocities in human history.” The statement emphasizes Azerbaijan’s stance against religious and ethnic hatred, genocide, and crimes against humanity. It also highlights the country’s opposition to all forms of anti-Semitism, xenophobia, and intolerance.



The Ministry’s message aligns with global efforts to promote awareness and education about the Holocaust, ensuring that such events are never repeated. By acknowledging this day, Azerbaijan reinforces its commitment to human rights and the fight against prejudice and discrimination.
