On February 20, 2023, a phone conversation was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, APA reports citing the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the phone conversation, a discussion was held on the elimination of the effects of the earthquake that caused the significant loss of life and severe destruction in the Republic of Türkiye, as well as reconstruction plans after the earthquake.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu gave detailed information on the latest situation in the earthquake zone as well as plans for constructing in the earthquake region. He said that the recent earthquakes in Hatay only damaged buildings that were already severely and moderately affected.

During the phone conversation, opinions were also exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a phone conversation, the Turkish Foreign Ministry told APA’s Istanbul correspondent.

It was noted that Minister Jeyhun Bayramov made a phone call to his counterpart regarding the earthquake that occurred in Hatay.
