Ankara: Azerbaijan's military attach© in Trkiye, along with embassy representatives, visited the family of Lieutenant Colonel G¶khan Korkmaz, a serviceman who lost his life in a C-130 plane crash, APA's Trkiye bureau reports. The delegation included Major General Zaur Zeynalov, a Hero of the Patriotic War, as well as representatives from both the Military Attach©'s Office and the Turkish Ministry of National Defense.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, during the visit, the family of the martyred pilot received a message of condolences from Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The visit underscored the strong ties and mutual support between Azerbaijan and Trkiye in times of tragedy.
The visit to Lieutenant Colonel Korkmaz's family is part of a series of planned visits to extend condolences to the families of the 20 servicemen who perished in the plane crash. The Turkish C-130 military transport aircraft was en route from Azerbaijan to Trkiye when it tragically crashed in Georgian territory on November 11, resulting in the loss of all 20 servicemen on board.
