ANKARA: A delegation from the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense, led by Justice Colonel Elchin Aliyev, is currently in Trkiye to discuss aspects of international humanitarian law and other pertinent issues related to military operations. According to Trend News Agency, the delegation met with Suay Alpay, the Deputy Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Trkiye. The meeting included in-depth discussions on the integration of international humanitarian law into military operations and the reinforcement of moral values during armed conflicts. The delegation also explored various other topics of mutual interest to both nations. During their visit, the Azerbaijani team participated in a special event marking the completion of professional education for officers from the Law Faculty at the Main Department of Legal Services of the Turkish National Defense Ministry. The event featured speeches that congratulated the graduates and wished them success in their upcoming military roles. In a gesture of goodwill , Deputy Minister S. Alpay extended congratulations to the Azerbaijani delegation in recognition of 18 October, the Day of Restoration of Independence in Azerbaijan. The ceremony concluded with the presentation of certificates to the Azerbaijani servicemen and other graduates who successfully completed their education.
