Baku: Energy security is an integral part of national security for the Czech Republic, stated Tom¡€¦¡ Pojar, the Czech Republic’s National Security Adviser, during his speech at the 30th Anniversary Baku Energy Forum held in Baku.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Pojar expressed the Czech Republic’s interest in strengthening cooperation in the energy sector. He emphasized that traditional energy carriers will continue to serve countries for many more years, but also highlighted the need for further efforts in the field of renewable energy.

He further noted that the Czech Republic is the second-largest buyer of Azerbaijani oil. In addition, Pojar announced that the storage of Azerbaijani oil in Czech reservoirs is set to begin in two weeks, marking a significant development in the cooperation between the two countries.
