Azerbaijani Para-Taekwondo Fighter Imamaddin Khalilov Secures Silver at European Championship

Munich: Azerbaijani Para-taekwondo fighter Imamaddin Khalilov (70kg) claimed the silver medal on the third day of the European Para-taekwondo Championship held in Munich, Germany. Khalilov showcased his skills in the K44 category, successfully advancing through the tournament rounds.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Khalilov defeated his Polish opponent, Labedzki Przemyslaw, in the quarterfinals and went on to overcome Giorgi Nikoladze of Georgia in the semifinals. His impressive performance secured him a place in the finals.

In the gold-medal match, Khalilov faced Turkish Paralympic athlete Yusuf Yna§ti. Despite a strong performance, Khalilov finished with a silver medal. This achievement marks the second time Khalilov has reached the continental podium in his career.
