Azerbaijani Parliament Approves Renaming of Three Villages in Guba

Baku: The Azerbaijani parliament has given the green light to the renaming of three villages located in the Guba district. This decision was made during a session of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, focusing on the draft law titled 'On changing the names of some territorial units of the Guba district.'

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the draft law outlines the changes as follows: Vladimirovka village, currently under the Vladimirovka village administrative territorial district, will now be known as Elbir village. Consequently, the administrative district will also be renamed to reflect this change, becoming the Elbir village administrative territorial district.

Furthermore, the village of Alekseyevka within its namesake administrative district will be renamed Chinarli village. The administrative district itself will also undergo a name change to the Chinarli village administrative territorial district. Additionally, Timiryazev village will be renamed Bahrali village, as part of this legislative update.

The draft law was presented, discussed, and subsequently adopted in one reading by the parliament, marking a significant alteration to the administrative nomenclature in the Guba district.
