Baku: The Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament) has extended its congratulations to President Ilham Aliyev, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, in celebration of June 26, recognized as the Day of Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The message of congratulations was officially delivered by the Speaker of the Parliament, Sahiba Gafarova.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Sahiba Gafarova highlighted the valor of the Azerbaijani Army during the 44-day Patriotic War, noting that these heroic actions are a significant part of the nation’s history. She emphasized the sacrifices made by martyrs who fought for the country’s territorial integrity and historical justice, asserting that their contributions will remain in the nation’s memory. Gafarova expressed confidence in the continued strengthening of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in the future and extended congratulations to the Commander-in-Chief, as well as to the soldiers and officers of the army on this occasion.
