Baku: The Milli Majlis, the Azerbaijani Parliament, has officially commenced its summer recess, which will last from July 15 to August 30. During this period, the members of the parliament are on vacation, which is a regular practice for legislative bodies to allow their members a break from their official duties.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, despite the recess, there is a provision for the parliament to reconvene if an extraordinary session is needed. In such a case, the recess is temporarily suspended, and the parliamentarians are required to return from their vacation to participate in the session. This ensures that urgent legislative matters can still be addressed if necessary.

It is worth noting that the first meeting of the extraordinary session took place on June 3, indicating that the parliament has the flexibility to address pressing issues outside of the regular recess schedule. This system allows the Azerbaijani legislative body to balance its legislative responsibilities with the need for periodic breaks.
