Johannesburg: Speaker of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova has arrived in the Republic of South Africa on an official visit, the Press and Public Relations Department of the Milli Majlis told APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the parliamentary delegation led by Speaker Sahiba Gafarova was welcomed at Johannesburg International Airport by Azerbaijan's Charg© d'Affaires to South Africa, Huseyn Rahimli, and other officials. During her visit, Speaker Gafarova is scheduled to participate in the Conference of Speakers of National and Regional Parliaments of the Pan-African Parliament.

In addition to attending the conference, Speaker Gafarova will engage in a series of bilateral meetings. These meetings are expected to strengthen ties and foster cooperation between Azerbaijan and South Africa in various parliamentary and diplomatic areas.
