Azerbaijani PM Engages with OTS Central Banks’ Council Meeting Participants

Baku: Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov met with participants of the Meeting of the Council of Central (National) Banks of the Member States of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) on June 4, the Cabinet of Ministers told APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the meeting emphasized the significance of the Council's gathering, with participants expressing confidence that it would enhance cooperation between the financial sectors of the OTS member countries and elevate the role of central banks in this process.

Participants acknowledged the constructive development of collaboration among OTS member states, which is based on mutual trust and common interests. It was noted that during Azerbaijan's current chairmanship of OTS, there is a particular focus on strengthening relationships across vital sectors, including trade, investment, transport, energy, finance, and humanitarian initiatives.

The meeting underscored Azerbaijan's ongoing reforms aimed at modernizing its financial and banking sectors, alongside the progress achieved in improving the quality of financial services, increasing transparency, and bolstering the stability of the banking system.

Meeting participants also examined opportunities to enhance financial and banking cooperation within the OTS framework.
