Azerbaijani Population in Georgia Rises by 15.4%

Tbilisi: The number of ethnic Azerbaijanis living in Georgia has reached 268,832, as reported by APA's local bureau. This information emerged from the results of Georgia's 2024 population census.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Azerbaijani community in Georgia has grown by 15.4% compared to the 2014 census. Azerbaijanis now constitute the second-largest ethnic group in the country, following ethnic Georgians. The ethnic Armenian population ranks third with a total of 169,296 individuals.

It is notable that Georgia conducts a population census every decade. The 2024 census indicates that Georgia's total population has increased to 3.9 million, which is 5.8% greater than the population recorded in 2014.
