Azerbaijani President Appoints New Finance Ministry Officials


Baku: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has issued an order appointing Anar Karimov as the First Deputy Minister of Finance and Himalay Mamishov as the Deputy Minister of Finance. Anar Mehman Karimov, who previously held the position of Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, has been reassigned following the presidential order.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the appointment of Anar Karimov marks a shift from his previous role in the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection. President Aliyev’s decision underscores a strategic plan to strengthen the Ministry of Finance with experienced leaders. Anar Karimov’s extensive background in labor and social protection is expected to contribute significantly to his new role in the financial sector.



In a related development, Himalay Gabil Mamishov has been appointed as the Deputy Minister of Finance. Prior to this appointment, Mamishov was the Chairman of the Board of the State Social Protection Fund, which operates under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population. His experience in managing the State Social Protection Fund will be instrumental in his new responsibilities within the Ministry of Finance.
