Baku: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has officially approved an agreement on defense cooperation with Somalia. This move marks a significant step in the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Somalia in the fields of defense and defense industry.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev signed into law the agreement titled ‘Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Defense and Defense Industry between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Federal Republic of Somalia.’ This formalizes the collaboration between the two nations in these strategic areas.
The agreement was initially signed on February 12, 2025, in Baku, highlighting Azerbaijan’s commitment to enhancing its defense ties with Somalia. The approval by President Aliyev underscores the importance of this partnership in strengthening mutual defense capabilities and fostering industry cooperation between the two countries.
