Baku: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has approved a new law on Heat Supply, APA reports. The law, which comprises 7 chapters and 26 articles, outlines the framework for the provision of thermal energy in multi-apartment residential buildings.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the law mandates that, except in specific cases, new multi-apartment residential buildings must be designed to supply thermal energy to all apartments from a single heat source or through a unified network that may cover several buildings. This approach aims to streamline heat supply and ensure efficiency.
The law also allows for the inclusion of individual heating systems for each apartment, but only under conditions set by a relevant authority designated by the appropriate executive body. The necessity for such systems will be assessed during the expert examination of construction projects, in line with the Urban Planning and Construction Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
